Under the current regulations, officials have to establish two things in order to refuse a candidate — that the marriage is not genuine, plus that it is designed to allow someone to immigrate to Canada. Under the proposed regulations, officials would just have to establish one of the two elements.

Isn't that going to fark over everybody who marries a foreigner and wants to bring them into this country? How does the person prove the marriage was not designed to bring their spouse in to Canada? I'm all for tightening immigration rules, but this one, as presented here, seems a little stupid.

Well from past experience, my 1st marriage was to a Mexican national. It was easy for her to come into Canada.

My 2nd marriage was to a U.S. Citizen, had to give very detailed description of our sexual encounters, what is in the closet, drawers, in our home... for U.S. immigration.

In short, if your in a true marriage you know lots about your partners desires... what they like, how and when. XD

3rd wife, has to be Australian... still looking. :D

Not quite stupid. There are many men who seek out women on the internet as a ticket into the country... there are also marriages where one spouse is already married in the country of origin, they marry a sister who is legally Canadian then divorce and bring the original wife over.. The system is rife with fraud..
