Don't you know? In Canada it's only legal to ridicule white, Christian, Anglophone, conservative males.

Yep. That actually also applies in the US, except it's not the law but social outrage that enforces it.

Sounds like a similar situation that the Kramer guy was involved in.

    True.

Really, people should have to sign a disclaimer when they enter a comedy club that says they agree to be ridiculed, insulted, and to have their precious little sensitivities disturbed.

And if they don't sign, they don't get to go in the club...nor should they.

Agreed, and that's exactly why the appropriate venue for an evening with Ann Coulter is a comedy club, not a university.

It's interesting how you can attack someones looks with impunity, But attack their life choice, sexual preference, religion or culture it's off limits.

So with that said; have you seen the photo of Lorna Pardy, she looks like a man, totally fugley. (the one in the middle, 2 words "Jenny Craig")

O.K. sue me... I hurt your feelings.

People in Canada need to quit being such a bunch on spineless pussies and toughen up a little.

This whole PC thing in Canada is a joke. Seriously. Every time someone uses the term cracker (white trash) I don't go crying to the HRC because it hurt my feelings.

Pardy’s lawyer, Devyn Cousineau, said Pardy and her friends had just moved inside the restaurant from the patio when Earle started launching discriminatory digs at them...

So why did they move from the patio to inside the restaurant? Could it be to hear the comedian? Fair game folks. Don't walk onto the battlefield and then complain later you got shot.

She said Earle even went as far as breaking Pardy’s sunglasses.

Well if that's true then there's more to the story than what's being reported.

Who cares what she looks like, that just obscures the issue. She's seen a way to get free money, and a bit of attention as well. I mean sue him in small claims court for the glasses, and that's it. There's a group called Dykes on bikes, if they can wear the name proudly, why is this one so upset with it? Human Rights Commissions need to be reformed so the complainant has every incentive to file a complaint because there is no down side, it costs them nothing and there is no risk. At leas do it like civil court, where costs are assigned to the loser. And it's amazing we're willing to provide free lawyers to these complainants, when legal aid keeps getting cut back for people who really need it.

From what I remember reading way back they were heckling. Everyone knows once you do that, your fair game in a comedy club, straight gay whatever.

Apparently his lawyer walk out today in disgust at the Kangaroo Hearing.

If this guy is getting sued, could someone please explain to me how Mister Sensitivity, Don Rickles, still has any money in his pockets?
