After failing to extract a written promise of concessions on settlements, Mr Obama walked out of his meeting with Mr Netanyahu but invited him to stay at the White House, consult with advisers and “let me know if there is anything new”, a US congressman,
It appears he is trying to make a repeat performance first with Joe Biden and now with President Obama.
Just because Obama couldn't extract a written guarentee about the settlements from Netanyahu is no excuse to embarass him in front of the whole world.
As for Netanyahu trying to bullshit Obama with an antique flow chart straight from the 1970's just boggles the mind. Did he think the President of the US was some uneducated boob who's incapable of understanding technology.
What a pair. These two would be far better served to quit playing oneupmanship with each other and actually sit down and work on middle eastern problems.

Not happening until the Jewish lobby (not Israeli, that's more conservative, Jews on average favor Democrats) pressure Obama, nothing's going to change, i think.
I really think this is an episode of Hubris on the part of Bin. He really thought they wouldn't call him on it and was shocked. He can't back down on the settlements because his base would lynch him but he has to look like he is at least giving Obama lip service on the peace issue. Obama has called his bluff, plain and simple. Bin has to produce results or he is going to get his party kicked to the curb. Obama will deal with the other parties in the Knesset behind Bin back if he has to and this snub reminded him of that. The pro-Israeli lobby is strong in the US but it is not united behind Bin party and his tiny minority government. Especially when it embarrasses its only real ally.
I'll disagree, a public piss-off will let Bibi say "hey, I tried"
As long as 'nothing new comes up', Obama can stay out of the middle east.
win win for both sides.
