SHANGHAI, China - China has taken the lead in investments in clean energy, spending nearly double what the U.S. did in 2009, as it ramps up projects in both renewable and traditional energy

    China also leads the world in construction of fossil fuel generating stations if I recall correctly.

    Strangely the article didn't mention that.

    That's what happens when you have a manufacturing based economy you have money you can spend. Unlike Canada and the USA which have a consumer based economy which means we have very little money to spend on these types of things cause our money is spent buying crap from China
