Pope Benedict XVI has released a letter apologizing for years of physical and sexual abuse suffered by Irish children at the hands of priests.

    All the elemements to this scandle are disgusting to the Nth degree, but what I find the most nausaiating is when the church forces victims to swear silence on pain of eternal damnation if they talk about their abuse to anybody "for the sake of the holy church".

    These folks also have the unmittigated gall to oppose family planning on moral grounds.
