Hundreds of Christians slaughtered in Nigeria

The main Canadian newspapers made a different choice in covering the massacre on March 9, 2010. The Toronto Star did not see the carnage as an important event as it is understood, by reporting about it on page A16 with only two sentences and a picture.

Another example in humanity from the religion of peace.

This is a civil war, so to load it all on the muslims seems a bit unfair. The Christians are killing Muslims as well.

And how many women and children did George Bush kill in Iraq - he seemed to be doing it convinced that God was on his side and following a religion led by the Prince of Peace.

All Sectarian violence is disgusting. The idea of killing people in the name of God is as nauseating as hell who ever does it, at the moment though Moslems seem to be the ones with more blood on their hands although Christians are no slouches either on the subject. George W made the decision to go to war in Iraq on his knees(I wonder if he was sober).

Who knows if he was sober, but Cheney enjoyed it either way.

Muslims are colonizing Nigeria and the Nigerians aren't so keen on the idea. Also, in an earlier thread on this same subject I posted that the media in January (and a couple Muslim sites, too) stated that the fighting in January was more or less mutual and was not one-sided. This is an extension of that fighting and I hope the result is the expulsion of the Muslims from Nigeria.

Of course..... What the world needs more than anything is a Christian Nigeria. Then everything will be all right.

For the people living there, better a Christian Nigeria than a Muslim one.

Cause your ' oh its all bs anyway ' wont fly over there.

Oh, and how are YOU able to determine what is "better" for those living there? It sounds like both sides are equally guilty.

You don't know jack about Muslims and to say I am sick to freaking death of ignorant idiots preaching moral equivalency between Muslims and *anyone* else is an understatement.

The Muslims are recent colonizers of Nigeria and they are intent on displacing the natives who are both Christian and traditional animist. The same thing is going on in Ghana, too. And in Senegal. And in Liberia. And in Benin. And in Togo. And in Burkina Faso. And etc.

It was bloody damn nice of these countries to allow the Muslims to migrate from their oppresive and starving Muslim nations of origin and now, as thanks for their hospitality, the Muslims are demanding autonomous regions or, like in Ghana and Nigeria, they want nothing less than 100% control of those nations.

Canadians would do well to pay attention to what happens to a country when the Muslims have sizable enough numbers to try to seize control.

You think you have problems with Quebec. Look at Nigeria and see your children's future.

If you learned just a little of what you hate and ignore the propaganda for half a second, you’d understand the differences between the radical functions you rant about and the majority. A lot like the Christian “cults” you are part of.

Islam was in Nigeria longer than Christianity.

That's just going to confuse him.

I'd say he has his facts backwards as Christianity wasn't introduced until at least the 15th century by the Portuguese while Islam has since been in Nigeria from the 11th century.
