Oh god, thanks for the laugh, Pete. You're pathetic.

Anyway, Mr. C, I agree. I REALLY hope it was a joke.

    If not, lol

I think its clearly meant for a laugh and pokes fun at ourselves, not at the Yanks.

I found the article to be a bit stupid and sort of hackneyed.

In any case, I think we have won quite a lot of medals, even if not as many as we expected. I think it was naive to think that just because we decided to finally throw a bit of money at our athletes that we were magically going to win the most medals.

So far we have won 6 gold medals, which is only one behind the US and Germany who have only won 7. The US has a lot of medals, but a whole helluva lot of bronze, which I suppose is better than nothing.

The real winners I think are Norway. A country of less than 5 million and they are doing phenomenally.

As the games progress towards the end and we start seeing the benefits of both men's and women's hockey and curling, things will start looking up for Canada. We have the ladies freeskate coming up, where Rochette looks promising.

Seems the writer is just on a rant. Sometimes it's good just to vent.

    My thoughts exactly.
