Don't forget the US government owns GM. They are just using the means they possess to unfairly help their assets. Welcome to corporate America !

Given your trend of thought, the Bank must own your house, your car and the credit card companies must own the rest.

Just because the US government gave GM a large loan doesn't mean they own GM, unless of course the definition of loan has changed in the past couple of months.

And, if it has, then I guess the Japanese Government owns Toyota and is using the means they possess to unfairly help their assets.

You can't pick and choose which auto maker you want to have government assistance since everyone of them except Ford which received DOE loans not bailot money LOL, have taken big bucks from their governments.

Seriously, don't be an ass. You're supposed to link to information, it's called being respectful. Speaking of which, I'm not a big fan of unions.

    Sure…..

Like a mortgage, the mortgager the collateral of the mortgagee until the “loan” is repaid. Assuming GM survives (which isn’t a sure thing yet) they are by the taxpayers via the various governments that piled the money into the company.

That's right, the UAW is the majority share-holder in GM now.
