Some antique planes on display outside Summerside, P.E.I. are at risk of falling apart, unless they're restored.

Around 1998 , my friend and I were posted in Greenwood, Nova Scotia as ACS techs (aircraft refinishers). Around this time my friend put alot of time and effort into researching what it would take for us and other volunteers to refurbish these beautiful aircraft. All we asked for was some time off, a truck, supplies and equipment (which at the time - certain companies took an interest in helping with this project). End result: my friend was turned down. Why...we could only figure that people higher than us had no part in this. So here it is years later and I read this article "Veterans work to save antique planes."

It's so sad they would allow these beauties to get into such a state of disrepair...

Aircraft like these have long stories to tell along with the people who flew and maintained them.

I'm glad that there are people who care and are working to restore these aircraft.
