Fort Irwin, CA — Task Force 1-10 (TF 1-10) and its supporting elements arrived in early January at the US Army’s National Training Center (NTC) in eastern California.

    The NTC has been doing this for decades. During the cold war, the base troops were equipped with Soviet equipment and used Soviet tactics to simulate war with the Warsaw Pact in Europe.
