About time they came to their senses...but how much damage has been done by this ill-advised policy?

It's good to see that the US Congress got got their heads out there ass. I wonder which moron in Washington came up with that original idea or was it a collective case of brain freeze? In any event I'm glad they got over it.

What about those 13 states that didn't sign - any of them big ones like California, Texas, New York. California alone has an economy equal to Canada's.

Then what about the cities - our mayors threatened to go to buy Canadian in retaliation, meaning they don't have this policy now. Are the big US cities on board with this as well?

It sounds like a good deal, but one that came too late, as most of the stimulus money has been spent already.

Jason Meyers, the CEO of Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters, reacts to the new trade deal with the U.S., saying that although this is a good agreement for Canada, many of the contracts have already been awarded to U.S. companies.

This removed an impediment when less than 30% of the US stimulus funding is available and opens Canada up under treaty to American business having the right to bid on municipal projects that they didn’t have before.

How is this good settlement for us? This is as ridiculous as Emerson’s softwood lumber resolution.

California's economy is much bigger than Canada's.
