Their mother murdered them and then 'tried' to commit suicide by jumping off the overpass. Unfortunately, she was unsuccessful. This really shook me, firstly, because innocent children were murdered by the one whom they should have been able to trust the most, secondly, because I have a bit of a business connection with the McConnell family. Just great people!
This is a local tradgedy. Millet is only an hour from here, just south of Edmonton. This has been the lead story on all the newscasts since it happened. the childrens funeral is tomorrow.
