Someone has a problem with authority. Anti-cop and anti-fire. Someone has a few issues best worked out on a couch.

The car, a Toyota Camry, was leaving the highway's northbound lane to turn onto Major Mackenzie, police said. It turned into the path of the fire truck that was travelling east on Major Mackenzie in response to a medical call, police said.

The fire truck had its sirens and lights on when it was hit, investigators said.

The force of the crash spun the Camry into a light standard. The driver, a resident of Vaughan, was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He was the sole occupant of the car.

Four firefighters were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
