The federal Liberals on Monday unveiled a proposal that would curb the power of the prime minister to prorogue Parliament, less than a week after the NDP announced a similar plan.

Oh how the Liberals have fallen, now they are stealing ideas from the NDP. At leaast Taliban Jack can think for himself, which is respectable, what has Ignatief ever done worth mentioning?

    Thats right.....nothing

well, at least now the PM can appoint some senators and gain control in the upper house. That way the senate can no longer be a road block for the bills we as Canadians elected the CPC to put in place.

That just means things will get more interesting as the opposition can no longer count on the senate to stifle laws therefore making life harder for the government in HOC.

I have no doubt of an election very soon after parlament sits as the Libs have lost the upper hand

I don’t give a damn where the good ideas come from. Prorogation should be more tightly controlled and it matters not whether it comes from the left or the right. When it is abused by a government that represents a minority of Canadian voters, the sooner it’s changed, the better.

The only reason the liberals are pushing back on prorogation is they have nothing else to complain about as the conservatives are doing such a good job.
