$32 million as severance...it's hard to feel sorry for the guy.

I still do. This was a total dick move on Leno's part.

What makes NBC think Leno's poor ratings won't continue in the later slot? Starting at 11:35 doesn't make Leno any more funny than he already isn't. The ironic thinkg to happen would ne for Leno to have worse ratings than ever before and NBC to go crawling back to Conan to come back.

Because Leno owned Letterman at that time slot before NBC moved him.

I agree that it's a a dick move by Leno, but Conan will catch on elsewhere (Fox maybe) and do what Letterman did for several years in the 90s, make NBC sorry they ever let the guy go. He's uber talented (even if the Tonight Show didn't really showcase it), and he'll be just fine.

With that and a $32 million golden parachute, I can't feel that sorry for Conan.

How is this Leno's fault, exactly? This is NBC's big fuckup from the beginning.

Leno sucks, I hope his return is met with continued dwindling Ratings.

I'm applying for a job with NBC in the hopes that I can get a nice severance package. I'm not greedy, mind you. $5 million will suit me just fine.

For 32 million you can give me a job for 7 months and fire me every month for the next two years.
