The federal government signed an agreement with the Haida Nation Saturday to jointly manage the planning, operations and management of the waters surrounding southern Haida Gwaii, formerly known as the Queen Charlotte Islands.

    So basiclly all they have done is stopped non natives from exploiting the resource but lets natives continue. That doesnt put any differences behind its just another example of one race getting more rights than everyday Canadians

    Pretty much. Just gave the Haida exclusive rights and ran those damned white men off.

    I didn't realize Aboriginals had commercial fishing operations back in the day. Damn they were really advanced compared to white men. :roll:

    Don't forget how their ancestors held their breath, dove to the bottom of the sea and then dug thousands of feet down to get that oil and earn the traditional right to royalties from anyone else who taps it.
