Soap, water and a little elbow grease may have saved the owner of a chain of Calgary restaurants more than $60,000 in fines and surcharges, a judge suggested yesterday.

the bigger fine is going to be the bad PR that these restaurants have gotten in the news and I guess there is a twitter group letting everyone on twitter know about whats going on, the fines I think are going to be small compared to the lost revenue

At lot of chain restaurants are that way, not only there but in all of North America and God knows what goes on in Mexico.

They shut down a Loblaw's here in Toronto because of mouse infestation. Loblaws has 40% of the Ontario grocery market and is in no way marginal.

You obviously haven't been to Nelly's then. The majority of their customers are granolla crunchers with dreads who look like they haven't bathed or washed their cloths in a couple of days, college kids mostly. I don't think this will phase them one bit.
