The U.S. government is advising American sports fans travelling to Vancouver for the 2010 Winter Olympics to watch out for al-Qaeda and other extremists, especially on transit and in restaurants, churches and other areas outside official venues.

Oh great. Let the fear mongering begin! Never mind the risk at attending the actual events, just don't travel around here on transit (which is your only option) or eat or stay in a hotel or pray. No need to ruin your trip or anything.

Think I'll just hide under my bed until it's all over and everyone leaves.

They better stay the hell away from Surrey then. This sounds stupid, looking for anyone who is acting strange or looks different. It's Vancouver! Most folk there are a little 'different'. Chances are they're stoned on BC Bud.

Should everyone else be warned to be on the alert for overly paranoid Americans. Better check to make sure none of them are trying to sneak in firearms to off some poor Indian(the real ones)

And all the 'burbs for that matter. There are freaky people everywhere here!

And besides, if the locals are acting strange by then it is because any one of those "visitors" could be with Al Qaeda. ...you want directions to where?...which building?...

Less than a month to go... God, let's just get this done, win hockey gold and be done with it.
