Does the father even live in Canada? If so, while he can't be deported just like that, why is he not charged as a conspirator of he knew of the plot and encouraged it? At the very least his name should be publicized in all media - what a scumbag.

We have probationary and graduated drivers licenses, why not apply this to citizen ship for new citizens. If you're a landed immigrant, it should be a one strike, you're gone mofo(for serious offences) and once you're granted a conditional citizenship you can get the boot for this jihadi terrorist shit and other serious problems, if convicted. If you're an administrative burden in your first five years, see you. But, once you've lived in Canada, as a good 'citizen' for say 10 years, you're OK....unless you commit treason, rape or murder(always keep these as deportable offences).
