OTTAWA — Don't expect them to say "Hasta la vista, baby," but the robotic armoured vehicles and pilotless aircraft being developed by Canada's military scientists may one day be able to think for themselves.

    Defence planners see uses for robot recon vehicles in places such as the Arctic, where harsh weather conditions limit human activity. They would also be good for border surveillance, experts argue.


    No doubt. We should be amongst the leaders in this field, if not the leader.

    I can't wait until they order a squadron, then cancel the order, then pay billions for breach of contract, then pay 5x what the original contract was so they can have them again when another government is voted in. :roll:

    Don't be silly, nobody would be dumb enough to do that. XD /cynicism off

    I gotta agree with ya Boot. It's not like this country doesn't have the brainpower and resources to accomplish that.
