Crowds gathered in the Downtown Eastside on Saturday morning to witness the return of a Vancouver landmark: A massive, 6700-lb. red 'W'.

I just read that, and though. . .Really? Crowds? On a Saturday morning? For a big red "W". Hmmm. What would a big golden "M" do for you guys? Stop traffic?

Sorry DrCaleb if I sound like a dweeb but I must admit I'm glad to see the "W" back.

It was just one of those goofy landmarks that you grew up knowing. I remember thinking it was sad when it was taken down but now it's back where it belongs.

Gramma lived off Commercial Dr, every time you got a drink of water you saw that big W from in the window over the sink in the 60s. Glad to see it back.
Be nice to see the return of some neon art downtown too.

Woodwards. Wow that sure brings back childhood memories.

I'm with herbie, more neon art!

KNOW ran a film on Vancouver's neon history. Brought back a lot of memories. Vancouver was once the neon capital of Canada. Got me to look into some quotes so my store can have the only neon sign in our town.
