    Uhh, what? He did inherit a pile of crap. Unlike Bush, Obama has just had the balls to admit that he is now Responsible for it, but it's a fact that Bush left him a mess to deal with.

    Fail.

    He can only blame Bush for so long, and he's coming up to the end game there.

    The big one right now is the 2010 mid-term elections. The economy has to show signs of improvement, or he's out of there. If he loses control of the House, and the Senate he becomes a lame duck President automatic. History will use him as an example of such before they even mention Carter.

    Right now the betting money says that's what's going to happen.

    He could get lucky. There's that split between hard line conservatives, and "big tent" Republicans. Maybe they could split the vote in 2010, and give the Dems a fighting chance. Even so though, without an improving economy it still looks like tits up for The One in 2010.
