More than 800 B.C. forestry workers are slated to lose their jobs by the end of January, and some say the mountain pine beetle is to blame.

That is one of the biggest piles of B.S. I've heard in a while. They're "shocked" this is happening? WTF have they been for the past 5 years? This was forecasted before the trees even turned red.

Must be the day for morons to make the headlines.

Be more pissed that they're whining about the 'rising dollar'. Relying on that instead of increasing their productivity.
No one even speaks of the Softwood Agreement, that's like beating your head on the double brick wall of Ottawa and Washington. And the mill taking the downtime, why that's CANFOR. Known for screwing over small towns and playing politics instead of agressively marketing wood and upgrading. CANFOR the lovely company that pawned off David Emerson.
Remember him? The one who said the Agreement wasn't good enough during the election, but it was so damn good he jumped to the Tories 2 weeks later when they offered him a Cabinet post and he signed it?
Oh hell, let the Mayor of Quesnel be 'shocked'. All the other Interior Mayors gave up and are still poking PrepH up their arses over the Forestry bad news.

Oh believe me - I know this whole mess all too well. I also know about all of the areas that "wouldn't be affected by the beetle as they are unable to make their way over that mountain pass" Uh huh.... that same area that is already turning red, arseholes? Riiiiiiiiiiight.

I despise these asses. Agree to all of the bullshit and then the Grammy Award worthy shocked and appalled act when the inevitable finally occurs.

Worse yet - they actually think we believe this shit!
