McGrath’s major progress

Major Meagan McGrath, an aerospace engineer with the Air Force, began her odyssey on Dec. 1, 2009 at approximately 80 degrees south latitude. She crossed the 87th degree on Jan. 4, 2009 and travelled 20 nautical miles, or 37 kilometres on the same day.
