One can only assume that the rocket scientist driving the pick-up forgot to raise the tailgate. And apparently, failed his highschool physics class.

Did they charge him for an unsecured load? If not they should have, nice hefty ticket. Glad all turned out well.

I can't stand it when I see dogs in the back of a pickup. Why not just tie them on the roof.......idiots!

I'm no fan of dogs by any means, but I also hate seeing them hurt either intentionally or through neglect or stupidity.

And yeah, the morons with their dog loose in the back of a pick-up need to be beaten about the ears with a slobbery chew toy.

My wife just made me belly laugh. I told her about this and she said,"I hope his job doesn't require very much attention to detail." ROTFL

Lucky pup to not have been injured seriously.

I too, hate seeing dogs loose in the back of pick up trucks.

    Transporting animals
72 A person commits an offence if the person transports a living animal on the runningboard, fender, hood or other exterior part of a motor vehicle unless a suitable cage, carrier or guard rail is provided and is attached adequately to protect that animal from falling or being thrown from the vehicle.

    It's illegal.

at least the little fellow was crated...but apparently the crate wasn't secured...a fine should be assessed and the pup should not be returned to the irresponsible party
