On Sunday in Zagreb, Croatia, women’s slalom specialist Anna Goodman of Pointe Claire, Que., suffered a suspected ACL tear in her right knee, becoming the sixth skier in five weeks to sustain a season-ending injury

I remember in the lead up to the '88 tryouts, several members of a ski team I was on also tore their ACLs in accidents. It's an old debate, keep racing and keep your edge, but risk injury sidelining you.
