Internet firm AOL re-launched itself as an independent company this week in New York, finally ending a protracted divorce from Time Warner, the media company it bought at the height of internet mania nearly 10 years ago.
Remembering the old days when they'd send out their AOL floppy disks and the Computer club would collect the extras from the Post Office and reformat them.... back when the dumbtwats would crow 'I'm not joining that rip-off Internet Society, AOL's waaay cheaper' then come sheepishly in and sign up when they got their phone bill and discovered they'd run up $800 in long distance calling it.
