Liberal Senator asks judge to throw out charges

OTTAWA - An Ontario judge will decide Wednesday whether to toss charges against a Liberal-appointed senator accused of defrauding taxpayers and obstructing justice.

Now we hear his aide Daniel Cote and his girlfriend went on a paid two-week vacation with Lavigne to the Dominican Republic while Lavigne pocketed $1oo of every $150 travel allowance that the previous assistant received.
All while recieving his senate pay.
