The PQ argued in an open letter that if international sanctions are eventually imposed on environmental laggards, "Canada's irrresponsible position" could wind up hurting Quebec industry.

Making the point that Copenhagen is going to be ruinous to the economy. I agree.

Just another sign that most of the nonsense that comes from Copenhagen is more about politics and very little to do with science...

This is the PQ (Parti Québecois) that is referring to this issue.

Pauvre Pauline, she has no clue.

Jacques Parizeau has said this previously, that they need to stir up sh*t, no matter what, in order to acheive sovereignty. So there you go.

THe folks that comprise the Bloc are indeed block heads. It seems that they are a collosa; pain in the ass when it comes to problem solving.

I agree that what is coming out of Copenhagen is largly political and has very little science in it.

This shut down the oilsands at any cost idea isn't just coming from Quebec separatists.

Love how you guys jump on this separatist propaganda.. the PQ will never get elected with a majority to amount to anything.. besides there are too many " ethnic votes" to quote Jacques, so its like flogging a dead horse.

Not sure about the position on Quebec's current government in regards to the oil sands issue.

This thread is about Quebec sovereignists and so it's an attempt by the Parti Quebecois to cause a stir, that's it. In some way, still amazing that they are even getting some media coverage at all. Speaking of the media, the only 2 major broadcasting news stations left in the province, both TVA and SRC are pro-global warming. Either way, the PQ likes controversy that's nothing new, they have been doing for some time.
