Stephen Colbert's Canadian-bashing isn't sitting well with at least one American speedskating star. "He's a jerk," Shani Davis said Thursday when asked for his take on the popular mock-pundit's criticism of Canucks. "You can put that in the paper."

I'm not offended by Colbert, He's a hoot! He's been a lot tougher on Americans in his sights.

He's just trying(and succeeding)to be funny. I'm not offended either, but I think those unfamiliar with his humour might get the wrong impresion.

I don't think anyone with a properly functioning funny bone would get offended by Colberts 'Canada bashing'. It's a joke and it's far from someone like Coltier. Not that it makes me feel the least bit guilty about not allowing the other teams to practice on our ice. Tough shit. Good guys come in second place and the US is welcome to all the silver and bronze they want. It's not as bad as thrwoing the oppositions flag on the locker room floor or taking steroids or phoning the teams in the middle of the night to try and wake them up, etc.

I laughed my ass off when he called us a bunch of "ice-holes" and "Saskatchewhiners".

Besides, America is just a bunch of "Shatner stealing Mexico touchers"
