Bend over folks, you are now paying for our economic recovery. Why not/ We are already the most heavily-taxed people in the world. (with the exception of the U.K.)

Just a reminder from the NDP:

Are Ujjal Dosanjh and the Ignatieff Liberals no longer opposed to the “horrendous” and “criminal” HST?
    Thu 24 Sep 2009

For weeks, Michael Ignatieff’s senior Liberal MP in British Columbia Ujjal Dosanjh (Vancouver South), has echoed BCers outrage over the Harper/Campbell HST. Here’s some of what he’s said about what he called the “mother of all issues.”

27 August 2009: "It is absolutely horrendous and it's criminal on the part of the Conservative government to be pushing this policy in a time of deep economic recession." (Canadian Press)

Late August 2009: “Stephen Harper and His Conservatives are pushing a harmonzied sales tax hike on BC that at the end of the day will only hurt ordinary British Columbians. Everything from food to housing is going to cost more. Over 80 percent of British Columbians oppose this Harper-approved tax hike.” (Ujjal Dosanjh’s leaflet to his constituents)

22 August 2009: “The HST storm in BC not subsiding. FedCons either silent or distancing themselves from the furor.” (Dosanjh writing on Twitter)

20 August 2009: “They should pay at the polls for this Tax in a recession.” (Dosanjh writing on Twitter)

12 August 2009: “Harper Cons running away from
their role in encouraging HST (Harper Sales Tax) in BC.” (Dosanjh writing on Twitter)

Now that his leader has announced that he would support the HST agreement, what is Dosanjh saying now?

Mr Dosanjh owes BCers answers: Has he fallen in line with his leader behind Stephen Harper and Gordon Campbell? And if he has, does that mean he no longer thinks the HST is “horrendous” and “criminal”?

These were issues in Ontario and BC that the Libs frothed at the mouth rejecting.. and now they voted FOR them. At least the NDP has some dignaty in that they were against them and voted against them.. but the Libs

Yeah well, when it comes to rolling out new taxes, it's amazing how they can all work together.

The only party that has been dancing around this position was the Liberals. All others were either for or against it.

In other words the Libs were the only party looking out for the best interest of both sides.

Not so with that prick Harper who pushed this on us.

Yeah.. saying it's terrible then voting for it is a great example of Liberal policy.

Nothing says Lberal like licking your finger, checking the political breeze and then shouting MAYBE!

    Federal = Harper.

The framework was already done by the last government but this was a chance for the Libs to slag this on the Conservatives.

It's canadian politics at it's worst.
