WINNIPEG, Manitoba (AP) — The permanent Arctic sea ice that is home to the world’s polar bears and usually survives the summer has all but disappeared, a Canadian researcher said Friday.

I concur with Gigs because he is my peer.
Another great example of how the peer review process works.

You guys are hilarious. Assuming your experience on the tubes outweighs someone actually out there collecting real data.

“As I watched, over the course of five minutes, the entire multiyear ice floe broke up into pieces. This floe was 10 miles across,” said Barber, who holds the Canada research chair in Arctic science at the University of Manitoba

well, even if it is melting? who cares. Not affecting my paycheque, or the paycheques of any of my family members and friends.

As more fresh water enters the Arctic Ocean, due to supposed melting, salinity will decrease meaning the sea will freeze faster at higher temps. The polar ice caps will not shrink, but should expand using the scenarios put forward by the alarmists. That's how science triumphs over hysteria.

The problem is that the fresh water will also become mixed with the Gulf Stream, which then opens up another huge debate as to what will happen with the weather patterns in northern Europe.

The conveyor currents will be disrupted due to a decrease in salinity, according to the alarmists, resulting in less warm water reaching northern climes. This in turn will exacerbate the situation resulting in even more ice and cooler temps in the north.

Remove the word "scientist" and replace it with "funding", now there's reality.

Don't you just love it, following that reasoning, Global Warming is going to cause Global Cooling, or maybe even a new mini ice age.
