By about the 17-minute mark of the second period, the fans couldn't even bring themselves to boo. In what was either a rare moment of sympathy or clarity, they must have decided what's the point -- it's like booing a mouse for getting worked over by a cat

    I was hoping that everyone would just get up and leave after the second and have the Oilers skate out to an empty building at the start of the third.

    Man at least the Leafs seem to put in a good effort every night.
