This is just sad. Especially as the rest of the world is condemning Israel for choosing expansion over peace.

I hate getting these pamphlets in the mail. It just makes me cringe and want to push for a new conservative leader who understands the idea of not wasting my tax dollars on garbage and works on getting things done.

    Sigh.. Remember this one?
    disgusting-flyer.jpg

During the Liberal convention, some Libs were handing this around.
Seems that some of them push that pro-palestine stuff a bit too much.

I honestly don't think that most Canadians are against Israel anyways.

and I would concur that that pamphlet is just as offensive which is why I don't vote liberal until they get their act together.

I just wish someone would pass a law that you can't put out this kind of junk in the mail. Then again their politicians what should we expect?

Some libs at a convention? An MP delivered this to people's doors using his allowance for communication with his constituents.

I get flyers from the Libs and the NDP too. Big deal.

Are you bitching abut them sending flyers or about them supporting Israel?

No, I'm bitching about them using this stupid logic that to criticize Israel is the same thing as Antisemitism. If it happened once, it would be bad but the Cons keep saying it.

That's fair. I do support Israel so I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

I will however remind people that Canada, under Harper, was the first country to denounce the UN's Durban-2 meeting.

The prime minister also reiterated the government's boycott of an upcoming UN conference on racism in Durban, South Africa. The conference, known as Durban II, is a followup to a similar UN summit in 2001 in Durban.

Several non-governmental organizations criticized the U.S. and Israel at the 2001 conference, prompting the U.S. delegation to walk out in protest.

Harper said Canada has "every reason" to expect the followup conference, scheduled for next year, will be a repeat of Durban I.

"This country will not be party to an anti-Semitic and anti-western hatefest dressed up as an anti-racism conference," he added.

The prime minister noted that Canada was the first country to suspend relations with the Hamas-led government in Palestine, and that it has "refused to be bullied into signing on to one-sided international resolutions against Israel."

Harper also highlighted Canada's participation in an international task force on Holocaust "education, remembrance and research."

"The Holocaust must be retold, not just for its value as history, but so that we recognize, today and in the future, its signs and its apostles wherever in the world they might appear."

The Harper govrnment was also criticised heavy by the opposition.. untill the rest of the world fell on side and it was shown to be a total hate-fest.
