What she is doing is great, and she is showing the world what Canada is about...but please lets put someone in that position that deserves it...who did something for Canada.
She is our Governor General, that position grants her special liberties. I think she has conducted herself admirably, and if she wants to exercise her ability to wear a military ceremonial dress she has that right.
She deserves the position a lot more than most of the other people who have served in the same role.
I'm not exactly sure what people think someone should have to do to become GG. Mme Jean is a Canadian success story, an immigrant from Haiti who went on to leed a brilliant career in journalism, winning every award in the book. She was an excellent candidate for a position that requires the cultivation of a diplomat. That's why Martin picked her. She hasn't done too bad a job so far.

I wasn't refering to the uniform I was refering to the position.
Why do you think she doesnt deserve it?
Why do you think she does?

Her Majesty wears one occasionally.
That's only because she gets your old veteran to stand at attention.
Glad someone does

As for our dress uniforms... As much as they suck to wear, I wish the calvary woudl bring back the scarlet's and black-leather full time.
