    This comment was funny :)

Facts - Tories gained, NDP stayed even, Bloc lost and the Liberals and Greens tubed. Spin all you want. Come up with any excuses your imagination can cobble together. The reality is still Tories gained, NDP stayed even, Bloc lost and the Liberals and Greens tubed.

I was quite happy to see the Bloc lose its riding. It's a rural place but still the riding was hold by the Bloc since 16 years.

I guess there were no starving artists in that riding where the Cons won.

This should be a wake up call for Iggy....Not one of his peple came even close to winning a riding there.
Step down Iggy, your just taking up space there.

Well, as much as I dislike Harper, I dislike the Bloc even more, so congrats are in order. Anytime a separatist loses a seat, it's a victory for Canada.

I was hoping the folks of New West would have been tired of the NDP but it dosen't look like it.

anytime the bloc loses it's a gain for the rest of us. I agree that they have special needs but the bloc is more of a separatist group. The less of them in the house the better.

The leftist media in Quebec did a good job but it seems it was not enough.

Yup. Dudes got the Brains, just lacks elsewhere it seems. Either he needs to rework his Inner Circle and Strategy or he needs to step aside. I really don't see anyone in the Liberal Party capable of Leading, but there might be someone there.

Without dredging up the past and seeming bitter, but the Liberals who constantly worked against Martin were idiots. He was their Best.

it appears iggy is in for a rough ride as liberal leader , say i wonder when he will consider going back to harvard ? as it appears the liberals have huge challenges ahead of them if there to go anywhere .

as for the conservatives it was an ok night as they gained 2 seats and now have 145 seats in parliament . not enough yet for a minority but enough for a secure minority . and the new seat in quebec is pretty big news .
