RED DEER — Despite polls showing Albertans are fast losing faith in Premier Ed Stelmach, Tory party members gave him a strong endorsement at his first mandatory leadership review tonight.

Knowing the kind of witch hunt the Calgary media has going on for old Ed, I thought I’d head into Red Deer and see for myself, what they thought were between ( 700-1100 ) protesters that they were reporting on the 12:30 news.

I drove pass at 1:20, they were all gone, 8O must have had to get back to Calgary before the Stamps game started. I think a couple hundred people would have been fairly crowded in this little paddock.

This next one will be between Wild Rose and the Tories.

It seems Albertans turn more right wing with every election. It's only natural the tories are too close to the centre for the voters.

The recession is the only reason you see any shake up here at all.

No surprise with the outcome. The tories didn't want to make themselves look weak in the eyes of Albertans. They know they're in trouble, a sign of weakness would have made it worse. That and the fact they have no one to take over the leadership of the party. They probably also stacked the votes with Eddies ass kissin buddies from Innisfail  :P

I don't see many 'new to alberta' albertans complaining about the Tories. They are good for the province and good for canada.
