An executive has won the right to sue his employer on the basis that he was unfairly dismissed for his green views after a judge ruled that environmentalism had the same weight in law as religious and philosophical beliefs.

Some of the climatechangeologists (I just made that word up) are just as bad as religious fanatics so I imagine it was only a matter of time that they were accorded the same status.

Oops, and I was trying so hard to check first lately. Every time I remember to pre-check there's nothing, and every time I forget...

But you know what? My title's better.

Gore's starting look for the protection of religion too. He's hooking his new slide show into religion.

    Gore's Spiritual Argument on Climate

I'm thinking the rats are getting ready to desert the sinking ship.

The lie they told saying it was all about the science just isn't working any more.

There's just no way to explain how the world could be getting colder if CO2 is rising. Not if you want to insist CO2 is the main climate driver.

New studies are coming out all the time lately challenging the idea climate is as sensitive to CO2 as the pseudo-science zealots once claimed.

Even some of their own guys are starting to say "well, looks like it's going to cool for at least the next 20 to 30".

Their "consensus" is falling apart. Rank and file scientists are starting to rebel. The lie is just too big.

So now even Gore is saying "Wait a minute, did I say CO2 was the main driver? No I meant CO2 is responsible for 40% of the warming. This is what I'm saying this week. See me next week for an adjustment to that figure. Oh, and remember all that stuff I said about how the science is in, and the debate is over, cancel that, in fact let's just say I never said that. In fact this week let's say it's not so much CO2. Now it's soot and methane. Yeah that's it. Soot and methane. Got that?".

So anyway...Gore has taken his climate apocalypse, dog and pony show looking for religion. Science has finally kicked his fat ass out the door.

Why shouldn't belief in science be acocorded the same protections as belief in one of the world's big religions? It makes perfect sense to me. For too long, being a member of a select group (Christian, Muslim, Jew, Hindu, yadda yadda yadda) has afforded certain individuals rights not available to those of us who believe in, say, Darwinian evolution.

Actually, if I had my druthers I'd just do away with this freedom of religion business altogether. After all, we already have freedom of speech, freedom of though, freedom of conscience--What does freedom of religion add to that except allow imprisoned Sikhs to have knives in jail and silliness like that?

But seeing as how that ain't going to happen, I'll settle at least for science being considered a belief system on par with religion.

Did you read the article? the judge also ruled An Inconvenient Truth by Al Gore was political and partisan...

Sorry "No science!"... Climate change is like religion and not a science....
