Canadians are warming up to Prince Charles after more than a decade in which public opinion turned against the heir to the throne, after his divorce from Princess Diana and his marriage to Camilla Parker Bowles.

Take it from an American, there are times we miss the Monarchy.

I do think however that William would bring a freshness to the Monarchy that Charles just doesn't have.

We know, you keep making up royalty like the Kennedys and other wannabe clans.

Anyone notice Camilla looks like an ugly man who likes to cross dress? I have little time for these inbred snobs...

I don't understand why people have such a problem with the monarchy. Prince Charles is my Corps' Commander-in-Chief and I have met him person. He's actually a very down to earth guy and has a great sense of humour. As for those who think the royal family don't really do anything, they obviously don't know how much they actually do. They do alot for many charities and have very full schedules.

So you think birth right is one's claim to fame? Besides it's very racist. A Catholic, Muslim, Budhist or person of color will NEVER be UK's head of state.... There's something wrong with rules like that....

No one will ever be head of state in a monarchy than the heir of the throne. Not that they have much to say... They are more symbolic a representatives for the country than law makers or rulers.

Who do you think is picking up the tab for this little jaunt? We are. This royal junket is going to cost Canadian taxpayers millions. How nice it would be if I could take my wife on a free trip, first-class plus plus plus plus all the way? The monarchy is archiac. We're in debt. We're in a recession. Oh, and were not FUCKING BRITISH anymore. Let Chucky pick up the tab for his own goddamn vacations.

How is it? The Queen has no real power, the country is run by the government as is Canada. The PM is voted in to power so IMO your argument is ill founded.
