Screw the handicapped, I want more money! OH I'm a union man, amazed at what I am...Extortion! Who said anything about extortion? It's legal union tactics.
Screw the Handicapped. Management has been expecting the union to work without a contract for months! They gave management a chance to resolve this without the handicapped suffering but management pissed it all away. Best yet, they get to blame it on the 'union'.

FUCK UNIONS! They're for people. Do the job you were hired to do or get the fuck out!
lazy and stupid people exist in management, too. WTF have these jerk offs been doing for the last few months while the union was working without a contract?
Do the job you were hired to do or get the fuck out!
in the real world, this applies to lazy and stupid managers, too.

I knew it wouldn't take long for somebody to blame it all on management. If management was to blame they should have fired all the union workers and got people who would do the job they were hired to do. But of couse they can't do that. So who suffers? The people who were supposed to be served in the first place. Screw the handicapped indeed!

it is management's right and responsibility to screen their workforce. Yet they whine about lazy and stupid workers...an indication that management doesn't know their job.
But of couse they can't do that
can't or won't? is this a confession of incompetent negotiating skills or incompetent human resources skills?
So who suffers? The people who were supposed to be served in the first place. Screw the handicapped indeed!
Indeed! better management could have avoided this.
"ASLplease" said so who prevented the suffering 'for months'?
the workers that worked without a contract?
or the management that did SFA while the workers patiently worked without a contract?
Were the workers paid? Or did they just do it out of the goodness of their hearts. They got paid whether they had a contract or not. It wasn't management that called the strike.
working for several months without a contract is an act of good faith. I am sure all that would have been required from management to keep the workers working was an act of good faith on their part, too.

I've worked all my life without a contract! What the hell does anyone need a contract for? No employer is going to get rid of an employee who is doing the job they were hired to do!
'You' want more, you do more. 'You' think you're worth more? Go in, and discuss it with your employer. If he/she agrees with you, you'll get 'more'. is called If 'they' don't agree with you, ya 'flip'em the bird', and start pounding the pavement. Welcome to the real world!
Speaking of the real world. Even the contracts have no basis in the real world. In the real world, the provider offers the contract. When the contract expires, the provider has the option to renew or go with someone else. In the union world, that don't work. Ever try to replace union workers after their contract has expired? I've seen the results several times with my own eyes and it wasn't very pretty. Their feeling of entitlement goes beyond mere, "I want what I want and screw you." It goes so far as they actually believe they are to work at that job for the rest of their lives, or until they get tired of it. And they'll be damned if their gonna let some "scab" do it instead.

Unions are just another business taking money from our pockets. You and me in higher costs, and the union employees in the form of dues. Some think that management sits around and does nothing, try going to a union local! I was a member of 2 different unions, against my will I might add, and all they ever did for me was take my money and spew propaganda. F'kin' useless twits!
I have had to sign them, and I've never belonged to a union. Companies love contracts. Banks love contracts. Lawyers love contracts. Car Dealers love contracts. Telephone companies love contracts. Hell, even my local gym loves contracts.
There is nothing inherently wrong with contracts. In fact, getting 2 sides to sit down and sign a contract generally reduces conflict and dispute.

I have a feeling that was what the management has been saying for several months while the workers were working without one as an act of good faith.
'You' want more, you do more. 'You' think you're worth more? Go in, and discuss it with your employer. If he/she agrees with you, you'll get 'more'. THAT is called negotiating! If 'they' don't agree with you, ya 'flip'em the bird', and start pounding the pavement.
many companies don't negotiate. They have a HR department that dictates all policy. If you really love negotiating, I hope you speak with just as much hate about these types of companies.

Yes, the workers got paid to do their jobs.
So did management.
Yes, they did NOTHING!
