Newspaper alleges detained Tamil migrant's terrorist ties

All 76 Tamil migrants who were caught aboard the Ocean Lady last weekend intend on applying for refugee status -- but authorites say the Sri Lankans will be held until they can find out whether have connections to terrororist or criminal organizations.

Wow.. Tamil links? Who could have guessed that a group of men who paid some $45k each to excape a failed insurgency might have a checked past. I thought they were just too shy to how up at the airports.

No kidding, and if any of them cannot be proven as Taiml Tigers they will let them into our country despite the fact they tried to sneak in.
We have enought Taiml sympathisers and operatives here already thanks.

Thr Toronto Tamil representitives are bitching because these guys are in a "jail", despite the fact that their obviously a flight risk. Maybe the Tamil association or the immigration lawyers could put up a bail for them.
