I guess he can hang out and share war stories with that KGB agent.

While I realise that Church sanctuary has been for centuries an accepted method of avoiding trouble, it never ceases to amaze me that it always seems to be completely condoned by the same leftists, who decry organized religion the most.

    Private Watson:

Get out of my country. Grow some balls, go home, accept some responsibility
    for what you have done.

    Coward.

The leftist decry Christianity, but embrace all other religions. Police storm a Church the left will stay generally quite, maybe say a little something like "You shouldn't have done that." Police storm a Mosque and the left would be up in arms demanding resignations, investigations, and commissions.

....funny, that the left wing noise boxes would be some of the first people that, the people they defend would do away with if they had the chance.

Watson, 31, fears he will be sent to prison and separated from his fiancée and infant son if he is forced to return to the U.S.

    Hardly grounds for refugee status.

If you can't do the time you shouldn't have done the crime.

He has some balls, most than most resisters atleast who ditch before they can go to war. He spent one tour in Iraq. He only dodged the draft when he found out he had to do a second one.

Imagine if you will if you got a fiancee and a infant son. You already done a tour and you are fucked up from that tour as all you see is rape, killing, bombings, civilian deaths, the deaths of your brother in arms, etc. The stress goes on forever over there. Than you get a message saying you have to do a second tour repeating all that. Where there is a good chance you could get shot or blown up and never see your fiancee or son again.

When it comes to deserters, this one has balls and he atleast has good reason for deserting. Out of all the deserters Canada gets and accepts. This is one that deserve acception.

He didn't get drafted. he willingly signed a contract with the military, and accepted $20 000 for doing so. Cooks, clerks, electricians and any other trade are combatants first and then whatever trade they belong to second, during war. I don't imagine too many who signed up to be navy corpsman, were thrilled to find themselves attached to marine units as medics(I think Mike Warnke told this well...funny).

Liberal MP Gerard Kennedy thinks we should throw the doors open and take these guys in.

He's tabled a private members bill (C440) and he waxes lyrical about 'honour' and it's relation to these cowards:

"..I have been impressed by the sense of honour that is evident when I meet Iraq war-resisters in my riding and across the country and the significant sacrifices they have made in leaving their country of birth and the U.S. armed services they had served, some for decades. Similarly, I have been impressed with the selfless character of the hard working all-volunteer support group of Canadians who have taken up their cause."

Boo fucking Hoo, if he was too mentally fucked up to go on tour they would not have let him. He just didnt feel like going to he ran away. I say put him in a barrel and float him over the falls if he survives he stays.
