This guy should get jail time. If he doesn't do any time for this, I'll wonder who's palms were crossed with silver.

Bullshit, I doubt if he'll even serve 2 years....remember, you're dealing with the Canadian judicial system.

Yeah, you're right, sorry, I forgot... I guess we better save up to pay him for the damage of his car...
He might sue the family for being in his way

    I thought you were joking..

The male suspect, who was not seriously injured in the crash, asked the court for a Russian interpreter during the proceedings.

It's always a tragedy that the last crime this asshole comitted wasn't enough to keep him off the road but then he, and a great many others drive illegally anyways. What we need to do is make it a hell of a lot harder to get a drivers licence.

No alot harder to get insurance once convicted of drunk driving , as was said any one can get around the licence part, for awhile. Drunk driving causing death should be 5 yrs in prison no questions asked .

5 years for killing somebody? Yea, thats a good result.
Maybe we should throw in a healing circle and knock it down to 3 years?

Come on. This guy was drunk and driving 200 klicks an hour in a 60 kph zone. He should get a manslaughter charge. Murder 2. 20 years. No sweat lodge.
