It is time to get rid of the queen and GG, then there will be no debate that Canada is run by people who are elected by the people of Canada.

Might be an age thing though.
If there's one thing about the politic press that I absolutely hate it's when a small mistake or gaffe during a speech gets made into a scandal. I have no idea why anything like this is even mentioned outside of page B10 of the local papers. It's not like someone died or something.

this has been a continual and systematic fuck up, appearing several times
over and over.

And those that consider that the links to the crown were and are part of our culture and heritage built this country.
Why bother the public with issues like the economy, environment, health care and Senate reform?
Offer them a circus - a lengthy well reasoned debate as to who is Canada's head of state. One way to settle the matter of course would be to have a mud wresting contest between the two ladies vying for the title.
Any news story where "The Monarchist League of Canada" is asked for a comment is not to be taken seriously.
