Do they have a tracking poll so we can see fluctuations over time?

Welp - looks like I'll be spending my Friday night crying into my pillow.

We don't need to be liked. Just buy our crap and mind yer own business.

An admirable perspective. Screw those 20,000 people and their ultimately insignificant opinions on who is "nicest".

What a lot of whaddle. The US. Their starting is point is where the country had a President who was hated and their end point is a President half the world swoons over. It's just a popularity contest, that's all.

For the first time since 2005 when Simon Anholt--an independent policy adviser to 20 national, regional and city governments--started conducting the survey, the U.S. has been named the most admired country in the world, climbing six spots in the rankings from 2008. Rounding out the top five are other beloved countries like France, Germany, the U.K. and Japan.

I dont' pay attention when people from barbarian lands tell us we're "nice" either. :)

"Nice" = "I don't really know you but you seem ok because you haven't kicked me in the crotch yet"

If it's a popularity contest than how can Canada compete against the good-looking, smooth, popular Obama with a guy who looks like he belonged to the chess club back in high school?

Wait until the next election, the U.S. might vote in a dick or an idiot for a pres and then Stephen Harper won't look so bad.
