Definitely no Denis Coderre! Cerebral type. I find him to be more articulate than his leader - and he's speaking in his second language. Will defer to Ignatieff and allow him and his kitchen cabinet to make the decisions.

One of the few Liberal MPs who can ask a question in the House without engaging in empty rhetoric.

That certainly narrows the scope of the job.

But Garneau will not be called the Liberals' lieutenant — instead he will hold the title of "Michael Ignatieff's representative in Quebec."

Pettigrew, Coderre, Cochon, and so on. All of them from the 'ol gang (Chretien era) need to get out of politics. That includes Jean Lapierre as a journalist at TVA. He is hosting this show alongside Laroque (a very PQ bias reporter). He is but a simple puppet, agreeing with everything that is being said. He does not bring anything to the table.

As long as Bob Rae is affiliated to that political party, it doesn't matter what they do. They would need to do a complete overhaul. Perhaps Garneau is good way to go. Only an opinion, but as long as they got these old faces in the party, not much expected to change.

Couldn't agree more. I think the Libs had been in power 13 years. You acquire a lot of deadwood over that period of time. The way to get back into power is to get rid of the old and create a lot of new blood. The Liberals are not doing that or, at least, it is still the old blood that have the key roles in Parliament.
