In a rare show of unanimity, all four parties in the House of Commons have voiced support for a Conservative MP's bid to officially rechristen the Northwest Passage the "Canadian Northwest Passage."

    I'm completely shocked that the Bloc would support this. No special consideration for Quebec and they still support it. 8O

    Iam even more shocked that the goverment still think the world will give a rats ass if we do not back this up militarily . It is time for the goverment of this land what ever stripe they are, to get off their asses and protect our country no fricking matter what the cost.
    I ask have we no back bone or doe,s the weak kneed goverment run to the US for the job . Of course they do Joe Clark signed that agreement a long time ago . 1989 I believe the year was I will find it

    It's good to see everyone working together on something for once, but as Stokes said, until we have the means to patrol the Arctic, our claims there are nebulous.
