And then, in the darkness of the night, Gordon Landon's body is thrown out into the alley, as the Conservative bus hits the gas.

I thought the sponsorship scandal was used to pay off Liberal party supporters and companies for "work" they were supposed to do, yet didn't.

Yeah your right kia, I don't know how they can even think of comparing the 2. But Derby and his usual come back is right also.

Albertans know how Liberal cash was doled out when Landslide Annie was the only pimple on Alberta's ass.

Every time we bitched about lack of funding from the Libs, we were told to elect more Liberals and that would change. But whats really funny, is that on the same day the federal Libs are turning over rocks to find anything to save their sinking ship. Liberal Premier Gordo happily announced that BC got their stimulus money the same day.

If Gordo wouldn't have asked for a special deal for BC from Harper, they would have received it sooner.

This isn't anything like the sponsorship scandal and at the moment there isn't really even any smoke let alone fire. One poster on that link said:

"Sorry, this dude's got it flat wrong... I live in a Liberal riding, and Harper just announced $54 million in R&D funding the other day. Plus there's a whole whack of other projects that are going on."

Now I don't know how accurate that is but it points (for anyone who really thinks about it) out that this would be very difficult to do t any sizable degree. Not to mention that the premise doesn't really make sense: stimulus money only to conservative ridings? How do you do that? You're making infrastructure programs. They make roads. They hire people. They don't ask what riding you came from before they do.

I'd like to hear more details please.
