TOFINO, B.C. - Police and search-and-rescue officials were scouring the beaches, rocky outcrops and waters off Vancouver Island's west coast Thursday as they looked for a missing female surfer.

    Seriously, we had Extreme wave warnings in effect. If you are an experienced surfer you leave an area where you will be....I am thinking south Chesterman, considering that was the epic area of that morning..but the rip was brutal. Fuck this is terrible...I was hitting the waves when she went missing...I am super sick from this, I didnt see anyone go down.

    A missing surfer has turned up safe and uninjured, but unwilling to explain where she was while a rescue team scoured the coast of Vancouver Island looking for her.

    Thats awesome news Hyack....I saw that and got sick to my stomach, I just thought to myself I was hitting epic waves while someone went down...its hard to explain that kind of mentality it makes your heart stop. thanks so much for the update.

    she should be explaining where she was....surf community is tight and when someone goes we all feel it...she owes us that.

    So you picked up the dlue in Mexico, went to Tofino to spread it around and now you lost someone on the way home. Hell of a vacation you got going there.

    Losing surfers...its my coverup to the swine flu....I think I may be the perfect carrier of the H1N1....I go to Mexico and two days later it breaks, I go to Tofino two days later it breaks....soooo where do you think I should go next, I am thinking China? :wink:
