I thought the body bags were a nice touch. Let's them know just what sort of situation to expect. Frankly these far flung reserves will have deaths because of pre-existing conditions exacerbated by remoteness and poor diet. The fact they failed to inform native bands of the bags when they were expecting simply needles and disinfectant kits shows how little prepared these communities are to the reality.

Ya gotta admire the balls on Iggy. A non-resident Canadian for soooo many years talking about OUR brothers and sisters, demanding that a minister who, ironically happens to be Native, apologize to HER people. What a fuckin putz.
Seems to me that Iggy is a nationistic opportunist. First the Brits are his people, then the Americans are his people, and NOW after all these years of being absent, HE has decided that Native peoples are his brothers and sisters.

I don't buy the cultural argument that they don't prepare for death either, this is an epidemic, not a ritual. This must not be allowed to run rampant and when people die they need to be removed.
